长滩港集装箱量上涨2.1%-源于30.2%的空箱量增长

Long Beach volume up 2.1pc - thanks to 30.2pc increase in empties

CONTAINER throughput at the Port of Long Beach grew 2.1 per cent in November to 581,514 TEU, making it the busiest November since 2007.

But the increase was the result of a 30.2 per cent spike in empties, rising to 157,570 TEU, according to the port authority.

Imports fell 0.9 per cent year on year to 293,984 TEU and laden exports boxes slid 14.5-per cent to 129,960 TEU.
