LAX cargo volumes rise 12.4pc in January   

The protracted labour negotiations at US west coast ports drove up air cargo volumes at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in January by 12.4 per cent year on year to 167,315 tons.

Last month's passenger figures were little changed from a year ago, with the number of people passing through the airport increasing 0.4 per cent over the same month the year before to 5.44 million, according to data compiled by Los Angeles World Airports, reported Los Angeles Business Journal.
