LA-Long Beach to cut emissions by imposing even stiffer clean air rules
LA and Long Beach are imposing even stricter emission goals for 2023 and beyond after reducing diesel emissions
by up to 90 per cent since 2005 under the Clean Air Action Plan (CAAP) introduced in 2006 and revised in 2010.
The southern California ports next month will begin to conduct workshops with the industry to develop measures
to further cut emissions, including nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxide, diesel particulate matter and greenhouse
gas emissions.
